Now we’re scaling. As part of that growth, we’re hiring a **Staff Data Scientist** to own the data and metrics function for our casino and/or sports product. If you’re energized by building in a fast-paced environment where your work directly shapes product and business decisions, this is the role for you. ## What You’ll Do - Own the data and metrics function for Dicey’s casino and/or sports product, building foundational frameworks from the ground up - Define and develop key performance metrics across user growth, retention, incentive effectiveness, and revenue (GGR/NGR) - Build proactive risk monitoring and alerting systems to detect abuse patterns and respond to novel exploits before they scale - Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and BD to translate data insights into decisions that move the business - Develop rigorous accounting and metric definitions (e.g. deposit bonus NGR, affiliate payout calculations) to support business operations - Work across casino and sports workstreams from rewards progression modeling to sportsbook margin analysis, adapting to business priority - Present findings and recommendations clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and founders ## What You'll Bring - 8+ years of experience in Data Science or Analytics, with meaningful time spent in iGaming, crypto casino, or sports betting - Deep domain knowledge in casino and/or sports betting metrics; you understand GGR, NGR, hold percentage, rakeback, and what good looks like in this industry - Experience building risk monitoring frameworks and proactive alerting systems for abuse or anomaly detection - Advanced SQL and proficiency in Python or R; comfortable building and owning data pipelines - Strong communicator who can influence product and business decisions; technical rigor alone is not enough; you need to be able to land the insight - Operator mindset; you move fast, adapt to shifting priorities, and thrive in a zero-to-one environment - Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams - Prior experience as a Head of DS or DS manager is a strong plus, especially if you’ve built or scaled a data function before - Background at a crypto casino (Stake, Shuffle, Rainbet, Roobet) or comparable iGaming platform is highly preferred *When applying, mention the word **CANDYSHOP** to show you read the job post completely.*

We’re looking for someone who has lived inside the sportsbook world for years — someone who understands markets, odds formats, settlement rules, bet grading, and the many edge cases only a true native would recognize. ## Description As Magic Eden continues to build world-class gaming experiences, we’re seeking a **Sportsbetting Senior Specialist or Support Lead** who can combine deep sportsbook knowledge with operational excellence. This role sits at the intersection of customer support, sportsbook logic, and process ownership. You’ll handle high-complexity escalations, draft internal policies and SOPs, guide bet settlement logic, and train junior members of the support team. You’ll be the person we rely on to explain why a market voided, how an accumulator should be graded, how American odds convert under different scenarios, or what workflow needs to exist to support a new sport or betting market. We’re looking for someone with meaningful sportsbook experience — but still eager to stay hands-on, work tickets, handle live issues, and roll up their sleeves in a startup environment. This role may include some coverage during peak sporting periods, including weekends.
