Blockchain/Smart Contract Developer

A Financial Technology industry leader has an immediate need for a Blockchain/Smart Contract Developer to join their world-class technology team in a full-time role based in midtown Manhattan. The individual in this exciting role is responsible for the development of blockchain-based applications and decentralized applications (dApps), from smart contract design to intuitive and high-performing blockchain integration. In this hybrid role, you will work on the end-to-end delivery of secure, scalable, and engaging products. Expertise with blockchain technology (e.g., smart contracts, web3 integration), cloud platforms, tools and frameworks, and Python or Java is required.

About the Role

  • 3+ years of experience in blockchain / smart contract software engineering
  • Designing, writing, and building secure smart contracts for Ethereum-based applications/token standards like ERC20, ERC721, and ERC1400 using Solidity along with third-party interfaces and design patterns like Upgradeable Proxy Pattern
  • Evaluating and integrating with multiple blockchain protocols, including both EVM and non-EVM ecosystems (Avalanche, Solana, Hyperledger)
  • Hands-on experience with tools/frameworks like OpenZeppelin, Hardhat, Foundry, ethers.js; including writing comprehensive and automated tests (unit, integration, and fuzz)
  • Integrating / bridging between blockchain/distributed ledgers and external components
  • Proficiency in two or more of the following languages: Java, TypeScript, Python

Skills/Qualifications

  • Designing, implementing, and supporting distributed blockchain-based enterprise solutions for regulated domains (financial/banking/asset management)
  • Familiarity with Web3 ecosystems, DeFi, cross-chain interoperability, wallet integrations, layer 2 & scaling solutions
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools is a plus
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS) is a plus
  • Experience in software engineering with large and diverse codebase
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
