We're looking for exceptional engineers who combine deep blockchain knowledge with data engineering expertise. ## The Role We're seeking a highly skilled **Full-Stack Blockchain/Data Engineer** who thrives at the intersection of blockchain technology and data engineering. You'll architect and build high-throughput indexers, real-time data pipelines, and conduct deep research into various DeFi protocols across multiple blockchain ecosystems (EVM, Solana, SUI). This is a role for engineers who want to work on complex technical challenges at scale, diving deep into blockchain infrastructure while building production-grade data systems. ## What You'll Do * Design and build high-throughput blockchain indexers for multiple chains (EVM, Solana, SUI) * Architect real-time data pipelines processing millions of blockchain events * Research and integrate various DeFi protocols (Uniswap, Orca, Aave, and others) * Build full-stack features from UI to database, owning the complete technical stack * Design schemas and scale databases (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse) for blockchain data * Develop microservice-based applications using Kafka and Redis * Handle complex scenarios like chain reorganizations, backfills, and data quality assurance * Optimize data ingestion and processing for performance and reliability ## Required Qualifications ### Experience: * **5-8 years** of deep technical experience * **Minimum 3 years** of proven DeFi/blockchain experience * **5+ years** overall software engineering experience ### Blockchain Expertise: * Deep understanding of blockchain internals: nodes, mempools, RPCs * Expert knowledge of smart contracts, logs/traces, and event models * Experience working with multiple chains (EVM, Solana, SUI) * Understanding of DeFi protocol mechanics and intrinsics ### Data Engineering: * Large-scale data ingestion and processing * Change Data Capture (CDC) systems * Backfill strategies and implementation * Blockchain reorganization handling * Data quality frameworks and monitoring ### Technical Stack: * **Fluent in TypeScript** (this is critical) * Strong experience with **Next.js** and **Nest.js** * Full-stack capability - comfortable across frontend and backend * Expert-level **PostgreSQL** (schema design, scaling, management) * Experience with **ClickHouse** database * Proven ability architecting with **Kafka** and **Redis** * Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms ### Soft Skills: * Ability to own features end-to-end * Strong research and analytical capabilities * Excellent problem-solving skills * Clear communication and documentation ## Bonus Qualifications * Experience with **Subsquid** or **TheGraph** * Deep understanding of **AMM and lending mathematics** * **Solana or SUI** smart contract development * Experience with other blockchain data indexing solutions ## What Makes You Stand Out * You've built production blockchain indexers or data pipelines * You can explain complex DeFi protocols and their data models * You have experience optimizing high-throughput distributed systems * You've handled petabyte-scale blockchain data * You contribute to open-source blockchain projects When applying, mention the word **CANDYSHOP** to show you read the job post completely.
