In this role, you’ll act as the technical expert in sales engagements, lead integration for institutional clients, and manage relationships – all to deliver world-class staking products. You’ll work closely with exchanges, custodians, wallets, asset managers, liquid (re)staking protocols and other institutional players to guide them as their go-to technical contact for using Figment’s APIs and other technical products. This is a full-time remote role based in the US, collaborating with a global team across North and South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. ## About the Role This is a full-time remote position, with team members in North America and Europe. We are seeking a **Senior DevOps Engineer** to help us scale out our operations by planning and implementing projects to manage fleets of blockchain servers. This role presents unique opportunities to be involved in building out tooling where none exists in the industry. You will build production systems that need to handle newer (sometimes alpha quality) blockchain software. You’ll need to consider all aspects of security, monitoring, maintainability, and stability. ## Responsibilities/Duties * Identify common areas where automation can significantly increase our ability to manage all our infrastructure. * Identify areas of systemic risk, and then evaluate, propose, and implement solutions. * Manage and monitor cloud and physical servers across multiple global hosting services and data centers. * Automation of blockchain software build, install, and management processes. * Linux server administration, hardening, intrusion detection, and vulnerability scanning. * Debugging complex distributed blockchains to help run them smoothly. * Identify tasks and processes that get stuck or move slowly and support the team in pushing them through. * Demonstrate technical expertise in multiple domains and act as a mentor to others on the team. ## Qualifications * In-depth experience using Ansible (or similar tools) to environments with over hundreds of servers. Experience designing complex static and dynamic inventories, variable structures, and playbooks. * Writing custom Ansible roles from scratch with advanced features of Ansible such as Jinja2 templating, complex logic flows, dynamic role/task includes, and handlers. Strong focus on ensuring idempotency & reusability and following best practices where they make sense. * In-depth experience supporting Linux servers in large environments supporting hundreds of servers, preferably in highly secure and highly available 24/7 environments. * Deep troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify server, network, and application issues, and methodical approach to implementing, testing, and measuring changes to remediate issues. Experience troubleshooting complex application flows which span multiple clusters of systems. Knowledge of common OS and application level settings to optimize system performance. * Experience with common system administration scripting languages such as bash and Python. * In-depth experience creating well organized modules with Terraform to ensure cloud provisioning automation can be easily reused. ## About the Role We are looking for a self-driven, proactive, and curious **Accountant** to take on a diverse role covering a range of responsibilities within crypto operations: from billing, receivables, tracking and categorizing on-chain transactions in the subledger and performing monthly wallet reconciliations to revenue analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, takes initiative, and is excited about the opportunity of getting into the weeds of Web3 and navigating the complexities of crypto accounting. ## Responsibilities/Duties * Monitor and investigate daily transactions occurring in multiple Figment’s crypto wallets on multiple chains. * Work closely with internal Figment Team and external contractors to maintain the crypto subledger, ensuring staking revenue as well as other transactions are properly measured, categorized, and recognized under US GAAP. * Work with cross-functional teams (i.e., Data Science, Protocols, Customer Success) to validate data for the month-end close. * Assist with the accounts receivable function, including billing, reconciliation, and following up on outstanding payments on a regular basis. * Provide support during financial and tax audits. * Support ad-hoc crypto accounting projects and analysis, as needed. ## Qualifications * 4+ years of accounting experience. * The ability to take initiative and work with quick turnaround times & deadlines. * Experience working with a heavy volume of data from multiple sources. * Keen attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a remote fast-paced environment. * Strong interest in the crypto ecosystem. * NetSuite or similar ERP experience is an asset. * Familiarity with navigating etherscan and/or other type of block explorers (Avalanche, Solana, etc.) and crypto accounting platforms (Bitwave, Cointracker, Tres, Cryptio, etc.) is a plus. --- One of Figment’s core principles is “Making the Invisible Visible” - ensuring transparency and information sharing in all communication.
