## You Are A strong backend engineer who enjoys building **low-level, high-impact systems**. You’re comfortable working close to execution, care about correctness under pressure, and can reason about complex flows across multiple components. You focus on results, understand trade-offs between speed and safety, and don’t shy away from responsibility. ## You'll Be Working On **Hedging and collateral management systems** - our infra backbone that allows our trading strategies to run reliably at scale. The hedging side coordinates and executes offsetting trades across multiple exchanges to manage exposure in real time, while the collateral side tracks balances and leverage, preventing risky states and ensuring capital is always available when needed. Together, these systems make sure strategies can operate continuously, safely, and with minimal manual intervention. ## What You Will Do - Build backend services that **coordinate actions across multiple external systems**, handling routing, execution, and monitoring - Implement logic that decides **how requests should be split, retried, or recovered** when something goes wrong - Develop systems that **track balances, exposure, and usage limits** in real time - Add safeguards that prevent dangerous states and trigger corrective actions automatically - Write **performance-conscious code** where correctness and predictability matter - Debug, maintain, and improve systems that are always live and business-critical - Work closely with other engineers and traders to turn high-level requirements into reliable trading software ## What We Expect - Minimum of **5 years of experience in developing IT projects** - Track record of successfully building & maintaining **complex backend systems** (deep tech products, backend systems with deep business logic, algorithms, financial applications, etc.) - Solid **technical knowledge** in programming concepts and languages - Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to validate cause-and-effect relationships - Strong hands-on experience in **multiple compiled programming languages** & frameworks (Rust, C++, C, C#, Java, GO, .NET, etc.) - Knowledge & working experience with algorithms is a plus - Experience with hedge funds, fintechs, or similar organizations is a plus - Experience in crypto & blockchain is a plus - Experience in financial engineering is a plus - Results in Math, Physics, Informatics, Chemistry, or Economics Olympiads are a plus ## Our Promise to You We offer you a driver's seat in the world's crypto-sphere and hands-on insight into one of the most exciting and lucrative industries today. At Gravity Team, a quantitative proprietary trading firm, we are on the mission to balance the supply and demand across crypto markets around the world. We’re looking for a high-performance **Algorithmic Forex & Crypto Trader** with deep Forex or HFT experience, someone who's ready to own their vertical and make an immediate PnL impact. ## Your main responsibilities * Develop and iterate high-frequency trading strategies with focus on Forex and Crypto / OTC. * Build and optimize predictive models and signals for execution, hedging, and post-trade analysis. * Execute and manage spot arbitrage trades through to deliverable settlement, coordinating inventory availability (balances), internal transfers, withdrawals/deposits, and post-trade reconciliation to ensure smooth settlement and minimize fails. * Own the forex trading pipeline — from rate tracking, market making logic, to monitoring and deployment. * Collaborate on improving fiat hedging, exotic currency flows, and OTC settlement logic. * Analyze market microstructure and execution performance to improve Sharpe and reduce slippage. * Help evolve our asset allocation logic — we actively manage assets across 30+ exchanges daily. ## What We Expect * 5+ years of experience in high-frequency or proprietary trading (crypto or traditional). * Prior work in a high-frequency Forex environment, fiat market making, or involvement with a low-latency trading/execution system. * Hands-on experience trading Forex or OTC markets. * Knowledge of forex markets, FX instruments, and price discovery for various currencies — from majors to exotics. * Solid experience in hedging logic, managing fiat settlement flows, or optimizing asset rebalancing across multiple exchanges. * Deep understanding of market microstructure and how to design systems that extract edge from it. * Strong ability to analyze PnL, post-trade statistics, and fine-tune strategies to optimize Sharpe ratio, turnover, and drawdowns. * Advanced proficiency in Python, applied statistics, and predictive modeling. * Familiarity with Rust is a valuable advantage. * Able to design and maintain robust trading infrastructure, including real-time monitoring, execution diagnostics, dynamic parameter tuning, and automated risk controls. ## Our Promise To You We offer you hands-on insight into one of the most exciting and lucrative industries today.
