There’s no one like you and that’s why there’s nowhere like RSM. ## Role Overview Acting as an internal business consultant, the role of the **Innovation Blockchain Manager** is to define, manage, and analyze blockchain and digital asset growth opportunities to deliver against strategic growth priorities in the lines of business and effectively educate firm team members and leaders on blockchain and digital asset concepts and strategies. Working with multiple stakeholders internally, across all lines of business, the Innovation Blockchain Manager’s job is to identify business issues, opportunities, and associated information needs related to blockchain and digital assets – and to translate those needs into effective, objectives-driven solutions for our clients. The Blockchain Manager researches, designs and develops blockchain technology for clients and teams including frameworks, distributed ledger protocols and consensus mechanisms. This individual will engage in the external promotion of blockchain, customer presentation and external demand engagements to develop applications that provide value. ## Essential Duties ### Client Management - Working with internal shareholders to define business objectives and developing strategies and solutions to address needs within time and budget parameters. - Ongoing communication with clients regarding all aspects of the engagements. ### Exploration, Development and Analysis - Research, design and develop blockchain technology applications for RSM and our clients. - Interact with startups and other companies within the blockchain and digital asset landscape in order to gain insights and deliver those findings/experiences to a broader audience. - Stakeholder Needs Analysis Interviews. - Development of thought leadership and other vehicles for articulating findings. - Drives deployment and testing of new blockchain applications, evaluates performance and detects anomalies in solutions. ### Project Management - Managing related project execution and development, on time/on budget. - Conducting kickoffs, either alone or in collaboration with broader team members. ### Partner and Vendor Management - Securing vendor proposals consistent with specifications. - Managing and overseeing vendor work throughout the research lifecycle – from questionnaire development and fieldwork through results analysis and presentation. ### Institutionalizing Blockchain and Digital Asset Knowledge - Responsible for the development and execution of an educational strategy to upskill critical executives, leaders and team members across the firm. ## Education/Certifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent. - At least 7 years of related work experience. - CPA designation. ## Technical/Soft Skills - Able to define client information needs. - Can identify and translate client needs into business objectives, with minimal supervision. - Can recommend, with supervision, alternative blockchain and digital asset solutions and data resources, including critical steps and implications associated with alternatives. - Writes effective proposals with minimal supervision. - Can develop and relate conclusions drawn from the data to client objectives, with some supervision, and identify business implications. - Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects. - Ability to quickly review, assess, and gain understanding of emerging technologies. - Deep knowledge of digital assets and cryptocurrencies. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office business tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and SPSS or equivalent. - Has conducted multiple client consultations, identifying core business issues and presenting alternative blockchain and digital asset solutions (preferred). - Advocates best approach, identifying and discussing the benefits, drawbacks & implications of alternatives (preferred). - Independently integrates and interprets collected data and presents analysis and recommendations to multiple clients (preferred). - Monitors effectiveness of previous recommendations; notes lessons learned (preferred). - Understanding of technology and tools such as blockchain, data analytics, machine learning, A.I., and RPA (preferred). - Work experience in blockchain and digital technologies in the area of financial services (preferred). - Work in product development or emerging technology firm (preferred). - Familiarity with professional services and/or financial services industries a plus (preferred). ## Experience - A minimum of seven years of experience in emerging technology consulting. - Strong conceptual, analytical, and project-management skills. - Extensive experience and expertise in quantitative and qualitative marketing research methods, tools, and techniques. - Ability to work with executive level audiences to identify, define and translate business issues into effective solutions and methods; to develop objectives-driven analyses; and to deliver meaningful, action oriented insights to an organization. - Strong consulting and communications skills (i.e., written, interpersonal, presentation, and storytelling skills). - Strong business acumen and ability to consolidate and relate research findings (sometimes from disparate sources) to business issues and strategies. - Work experience in blockchain and digital technologies in the area of financial services (preferred). - Work in product development or emerging technology firm (preferred). - Familiarity with professional services and/or financial services industries (preferred). ## Leadership Skills - Ability to influence without authority. - Must be a proactive, self-starter; collaborative, inquisitive, detail-oriented, and be highly organized. - Able to work independently, autonomously, and self-directed. - Tolerance for ambiguity. - Able to direct a small working team of researchers. ## Benefits At RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people. This individual will lead opportunities and have the responsibility of designing and developing applications in different Blockchain platforms including but not limited to Hyperledger, Ethereum, Bitcoin and other distributed computing environments to deliver solutions to line of business partners. This individual will lead blockchain initiatives as assigned and act as innovation liaison for key stakeholders, internal leaders, subject matter experts and external parties. This Blockchain Senior Associate will act with a sense of urgency and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and remove roadblocks that impede time to value on client engagements. This individual will research, design and/or develop blockchain technology including frameworks, distributed ledger protocols and consensus mechanisms. In addition, this individual will need to be comfortable with ambiguity, and be adept in critical thinking and problem solving in order to bring new ideas to the forefront. The Blockchain Senior Associate will need to be organized and have the ability to track and follow up on a large number of ongoing competing priorities. ## Essential Duties ### 1. Blockchain Development a) Partner with individuals or teams to design and develop blockchain and digital asset solutions b) Drive the execution of the blockchain and digital asset engagements and analyze findings - Identify resources & necessary technology - Work with vendor concierge to bring in new vendor technology - Default toward action even when not in scope of responsibility, control or influence c) Drive deployment and testing, evaluate performance, detect anomalies and implement enhancements to blockchain solutions d) Partner with team to present findings to appropriate leaders e) Agility and adaptability to change approaches and priorities while still being able to deliver tangible results - Face problems that are difficult, moderately complex, or undefined and determine a path forward. - Create innovative ways to convey complex or ambiguous information or ideas f) Facilitating the development of solutions to problems, improve processes, systems, or products to enhance outcomes ### 2. Support line of business teams in client engagements - Support development and execution of blockchain and digital asset strategy and vision - Facilitate development of proposal with line of business owners - Assist in developing public chain, side chain, private chain, smart contracts and other logic to establish supply layer of cloud service delivery system - Share successful engagements across the enterprise to determine other potential use cases ### 3. Engage in blockchain and digital education for the firm ### 4.
