<p><strong>Risk Manager – Crypto Credit &amp; DeFi</strong></p><br><p>One of my clients, a high-performing, well-capitalised digital assets trading and liquidity platform is building out its US risk capability.</p><br><p>The firm operates at the intersection of institutional trading, crypto credit markets and DeFi. With significant backing and strong revenue growth, it is investing heavily in risk infrastructure and governance as it scales globally.</p><br><p>This is a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where risk is viewed as a strategic partner to the business, not a back-office control function.</p><br><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p> • Act as an embedded front office risk partner to Trading and Treasury</p><p> • Monitor bilateral and exchange-based lending exposures in real time</p><p> • Oversee structured loan and derivatives transactions, including collateral and margin frameworks</p><p> • Assess counterparty credit risk across crypto-native entities, exchanges and DeFi protocols</p><p> • Monitor on-chain liquidation thresholds, protocol risks and smart contract exposures</p><p> • Apply dynamic collateral haircuts and manage margin adequacy under stress</p><p> • Run scenario analysis for counterparty defaults, extreme volatility and protocol failures</p><p> • Escalate breaches of risk appetite and contribute to framework enhancement</p><br><p>This role has direct visibility to senior leadership and meaningful influence over risk design.</p><br><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>• Proven front office risk experience within trading, structured credit or derivatives</p><p> • Direct crypto market exposure – lending, exchanges, DeFi or digital asset structured products</p><p> • Strong counterparty credit and collateral management expertise</p><p> • Deep understanding of liquidation mechanics and margin frameworks</p><p> • Strong quantitative capability (Python or similar modelling tools preferred)</p><p> • Confidence partnering with and constructively challenging traders</p><br><p>This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly growing, high-performance digital assets platform at a critical stage of its expansion.</p><br><p>You will operate in a commercially embedded seat, shaping credit and DeFi risk frameworks while working alongside a respected senior leadership team.</p><br><p>Base salary $150k–$200k + discretionary bonus (NY).</p><br><p>If you are seeking a visible, high-impact role in a scaling crypto institution, happy to discuss confidentially.</p> When applying, mention the word CANDYSHOP to show you read the job post completely.
