```markdown # Infrastructure Engineer **USA** · **Engineering** · **Remote** --- ## DevSecOps needed. SRE? Platform Engineer? Whatever you call it, we need you. ### About JTX **JTX** is Jito Labs' consumer trading product — a high-performance trading terminal built on Solana. We're a lean, high-output team building something that sits at the intersection of execution quality, user experience, and on-chain infrastructure. We own a meaningful portion of Solana's block production, and JTX is how we bring that edge directly to traders. ### The Role This is a high-ownership IC role. The stack is designed. Now it needs someone who can own it, harden it, automate it, and make sure it stays up while traders are trading. You will be running globally distributed infra and you'll be the person who cares most about it (this is an extremely high ownership role). You'll work directly with engineering leadership. No ticketing system standing between you and a decision. If something is broken, it's your problem. If something can be automated, you'll automate it. If something is insecure, you'll fix it before anyone notices. Get shit done! --- ### What You'll Do - Own and operate end-to-end infrastructure for JTX across backend services, frontend systems, databases, observability, third-party integrations, and globally distributed cloud environments - Build and maintain reliable deployment workflows including CI/CD pipelines, preflight validation, rollback procedures, and post-release monitoring - Design reproducible infrastructure using **Terraform**, **Ansible**, and infrastructure-as-code best practices - Improve system-wide observability through metrics, logging, alerting, and monitoring to ensure uptime, correctness, and low latency across the stack - Establish strong operational discipline through actionable alerting, incident response processes, and clear runbooks - Manage and secure cloud and edge infrastructure including **Cloudflare** routing, CDN deployment, WAF, DDoS protection, VPN mesh networking, and zero-trust access controls - Own infrastructure security posture including secrets management, OS hardening, firewall policies, key rotation, and incident response readiness - Support globally distributed SQL infrastructure and performance-sensitive **Rust/Axum** API systems - Build internal tooling and automation that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency - Define and continuously raise the bar for infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security across the organization --- ### What We're Looking For - 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps supporting low-latency, highly available, production-critical systems - Strong **Linux** and systems fundamentals with experience operating both bare-metal infrastructure and cloud environments - Deep experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tooling, particularly **Terraform** and **Ansible** in production environments - Strong understanding of networking and web infrastructure concepts including load balancing, CDN caching, DNS routing, TLS, and secure traffic management - Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as **Grafana**, **Prometheus**, **Loki**, **InfluxDB**, **ClickHouse**, or similar tooling - Strong operational intuition across infrastructure, databases, applications, and external APIs with the ability to troubleshoot issues end-to-end - Solid security instincts, including experience with secrets management systems such as **Vault** or similar technologies - Strong understanding of database operations including replication, pooling, connection behavior, and performance considerations - Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation, operational runbooks, and repeatable processes - High ownership mentality with the ability to operate autonomously in a small, fast-moving environment --- ### Bonus Points - Experience with **Solana** infrastructure and tooling, including validators, RPCs, blockchain data services, transaction landing, and wallet custody systems - Strong understanding of low-latency trading or consumer-facing fintech infrastructure - Experience working with **Rust**, cloud-hosted **PostgreSQL** databases, and secrets management systems for securing sensitive credentials --- ### What You Won't Find Here - A platform team to hand things off to - Bureaucracy between you and a decision - Work that doesn't matter --- ### Stack **Rust / Axum** · **PostgreSQL** · **Terraform** · **Ansible** · **HCP Vault** · **Cloudflare** · **GitHub Actions** · **Grafana Cloud** · **Tailscale** · **Teraswitch bare-metal** · **Ubuntu 24.04** --- ### Benefits - Above market compensation and multiple forms of equity - 100% of employee health benefits covered by employer - All-expenses-paid team retreats and conferences - Generous PTO - Weekly meal voucher - And that's just the start! --- *When applying, mention the word **CANDYSHOP** to show you read the job post completely.* ```
# Senior Software Engineer - Special Projects **Location:** USA **Department:** Engineering **Workplace Type:** Remote ## About the Position We're building a new application that brings the power of Solana's market infrastructure directly to users. This is a 0-to-1 effort backed by the team that built the leading infrastructure powering billions in daily transaction value on Solana. We're looking for a senior engineer to join a small, scrappy team with full ownership over this product. You'll work alongside world-class designers and engineers who have built products used by millions. The work spans backend services, real-time data pipelines, and everything in between. You'll build systems that are fast, reliable, and secure from day one. If you've spent time thinking about how markets actually work on Solana and want to build the product layer on top of that, this is the role. ## What You'll Do - Design and build core systems for our new product from scratch - Build low-latency, high-reliability services that interact directly with Solana's transaction and block building pipeline - Own critical infrastructure: order routing, execution, real-time market data, and position management - Implement security at every layer, from transaction signing to user data protection - Work closely with the product and infrastructure teams to ship fast and iterate based on real user feedback - Make significant architectural decisions as an early member of the team ## What We're Looking For - 5+ years of software engineering experience, with meaningful time spent on distributed systems - Strong systems programming skills. Rust preferred, but deep experience in C/C++, Go, or similar is fine - Track record building reliable, low-latency systems in production - Security-first mindset. You think about attack surfaces, key management, and failure modes before writing code - Familiarity with Solana's runtime, transaction lifecycle, and market microstructure (MEV, block building, execution quality) is a strong plus - Comfortable operating with high autonomy and incomplete information. This is a 0-to-1 product, not a mature codebase ## Relevant Background If you have experience in any of the following, you may be a good fit: - Trading systems or exchange infrastructure - DeFi protocol engineering - Fintech backend systems (payments, custody, execution) - High-frequency or low-latency systems - Security engineering ## Compensation & Benefits **Salary Range:** $200,000 - $250,000 a year - Salary based on experience - Above-market total compensation and multiple forms of equity - 100% employer-paid health benefits - All-expenses-paid team retreats and conferences - Weekly meal voucher and other benefits ## About Jito **Jito** builds the Market Layer of Solana, the infrastructure that powers real markets on-chain. We started by building foundational network infrastructure: execution systems, capital markets, and incentive mechanisms that process billions in daily transaction value. Our products (Jito Block Engine, BAM, and JitoSOL) are market leaders and core to how Solana's economy operates. Now we're moving up the stack. We're building the consumer product that helps people access better financial services, backed by the same world-class team that built the infrastructure powering billions in daily transaction value. We're a small, profitable company with product-market fit. That means: 1. **High ownership:** Every team member drives significant technical decisions and shapes our product roadmap. 2. **Fast execution:** We ship rapidly and iterate based on real-world feedback. Progress, not motion. 3. **Technical excellence:** We tackle complex problems with elegant, scalable solutions. 4. **Sustainable growth:** Strong financials and proven market fit enable us to focus on long-term impact. We offer competitive compensation, significant equity, and the opportunity to work on problems that matter. --- *When applying, mention the word CANDYSHOP to show you read the job post completely.*
**Jito Labs** is architecting the future of high-performance distributed systems on Solana. We’re the team behind **Jito-Solana**, the leading MEV Solana client, and the **Jito Block Engine**, which has generated roughly 4.5 million SOL for validators and stakers over the past year. Our latest product, **BAM**, reimagines Solana market structure and the transaction supply chain with a heavy emphasis on performance, reliability, and transaction privacy. We are building systems that operate at the edge of what modern hardware and networks can sustain. We're looking for a senior engineer who is comfortable working across application code, operating systems, hardware behavior, and network protocols — someone who enjoys debugging the kinds of problems where the root cause might live anywhere in the stack. ### About the Position We build latency-sensitive infrastructure where microseconds matter and root causes are rarely obvious. This role is for someone who can move comfortably between application code, kernel internals, hardware behavior, and network protocols — debugging a TCP retransmission anomaly one day and reasoning about memory contention the next. You should be as comfortable reading kernel source and packet captures as you are writing production Rust. Much of the work involves ambiguous, cross-layer problems where existing tools and playbooks are insufficient and new ones must be created. This is a senior role for someone who has previously been the person others escalate to when nobody else can find the root cause. You'll work across: #### Networking - Debug and optimize network performance end-to-end: NIC tuning, congestion control, packet pacing, queueing disciplines - Analyze traffic using tcpdump, Wireshark, and custom tooling; reason about protocol behavior under load - Work with protocols beyond TCP/UDP when required (e.g., ICMP, IGMP, multicast) - Experience with high-performance I/O and kernel-bypass techniques such as DPDK, XDP, io_uring, or similar #### Linux Systems - Read and reason about Linux kernel source when debugging requires it - Understand networking stack internals (socket buffers, congestion control, netfilter, scheduling interactions) - Build bespoke tooling when existing observability is insufficient - Work fluently with kernel interfaces used by performance-sensitive systems #### Hardware & Performance - Use hardware performance counters, perf, eBPF, and flamegraphs to locate real bottlenecks - Reason about practical CPU behavior: cacheline contention, branch misprediction, NUMA effects, memory ordering - Understand IRQ affinity, scheduling behavior, paging, and TLB effects under real workloads - Willing to read assembly when the situation calls for it #### Software Development - Strong low-level systems programming background - We work primarily in Rust, but strong experience in C or C++ is equally relevant - Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and writing correct concurrent code - Contribute to infrastructure, tooling, and occasionally upstream projects ### Requirements - 10+ years of experience in systems programming, networking, or performance-critical infrastructure - Deep Linux expertise, including kernel behavior, networking internals, and performance tuning - Proficiency with packet analysis and network debugging tools - Experience with performance profiling and tracing (perf, eBPF, flamegraphs, etc.) - Strong programming fundamentals; depth matters more than language - Track record of diagnosing complex issues spanning application, OS, and hardware layers - Clear, direct communication ### Strong Plus - Experience in domains where latency and performance are first-order constraints (e.g., HFT, real-time systems, low-latency networking, kernel-adjacent infrastructure, high-performance distributed systems) - Custom memory allocators or deep memory subsystem optimization - Virtualization internals and passthrough networking (SR-IOV, vDPA, etc.) - Kernel-adjacent work (eBPF programs, driver debugging, custom modules) - Solana or blockchain infrastructure experience ### Why Jito We’re a small, profitable company with real product-market fit. That means: - **High ownership:** you drive major technical decisions and shape the direction of the system - **Fast execution:** we ship quickly and iterate on real-world behavior - **Technical depth:** the problems are real, complex, and intellectually demanding - **Sustainable:** strong financials allow us to focus on long-term impact, not runway ### Compensation & Benefits **$220,000 - $275,000 USD a year** - Salary based on experience - Above-market total compensation and multiple forms of equity - 100% employer-paid health benefits - All-expenses-paid team retreats and conferences - Weekly meal voucher *When applying, mention the word **CANDYSHOP** to show you read the job post completely.*
