If you believe in the power of markets, join us. ## The Role As a **Staff Engineer**, you would: - Build, test, and maintain production services. Our current stack uses TypeScript, Next.js, and Postgres. - Implement, integrate, and modify smart contracts that experience hundreds of millions of dollars of volume. - Drive ambitious engineering initiatives (for example, realtime data indexing at scale) from inception to completion: specification, architecture, implementation, testing, monitoring, and maintenance. ## Qualifications - 3+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade software systems, with high-quality and well-documented production code - 3+ years of experience with Unix systems - Experience working with cloud infrastructure - Experience with AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor - Ability to make informed engineering decisions based on relevant business context - Demonstrated track record of high agency, willingness to dive into unfamiliar technical and non-technical areas, and a team-first attitude - Demonstrated intellectual curiosity ## Preferred - Experience working for venture-funded startups - Knowledge of capital markets, acquired either through working in finance or trading stocks and/or crypto personally - Proficiency in Next.js and TypeScript *When applying, mention the word CANDYSHOP to show you read the job post completely.*
