As a publicly traded company, Gemini is poised to accelerate this vision with greater scale, reach, and impact. ## The Department: Legal ## The Role: Deputy General Counsel As **Deputy General Counsel** at Gemini, you are a leader of leaders with visibility into the overall GC function. Leveraging both breadth and depth of experience at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel, you will help Gemini maintain a nimble, innovative legal organization tasked with tackling the complex legal challenges that confront a disruptive emerging asset class. By navigating unprecedented legal complexities across Business Development, Finance and Accounting, People Operations, Tax, Technology and Security, you’ll play a critical role in building our business at the forefront of the future of money. *This role is required to be in person twice a week at our New York City, NY office.* ## Responsibilities - Own a significant portion of the general counsel’s responsibilities for Gemini’s business globally - Serve as the lead point of contact for Gemini’s senior management across regions - Lead engagements with regulators and other governmental stakeholders globally - Advise Gemini on global privacy and data processing issues that arise in the ordinary course of business and help ensure that Gemini’s privacy program evolves in line with global regulatory requirements - Manage projects effectively and collaboratively with teams located in multiple jurisdictions - Lead and further build out the legal team, while developing and maintaining related policies, processes, and templates - Build positive and influential relationships with Gemini Leadership and cross-functional partners, evangelizing the Legal team’s expertise and services across the company - Collaborate with and support the General Counsel and the rest of the Legal team to evaluate and communicate legal risks to internal stakeholders and external parties - Champion for the Legal team’s expertise and build reliance on the Legal team across the company ## Minimum Qualifications - JD degree - Minimum of 15 years of relevant legal experience in regulated environments - Fluency in English ## Preferred Qualifications - Strong knowledge of and interest in disruptive technology, financial services, or security; prior experience working in fintech, digital assets or high-growth tech companies a plus - Proven ability to proactively, efficiently, and accurately assess legal business risks in a fast-paced environment - Track record of creative problem-solving, excellent written and oral communication skills, and creation of strong and trusted cross-functional relationships ## It Pays to Work Here ### The Compensation & Benefits Package For This Role Includes - Competitive starting salary - A discretionary annual bonus - Long-term incentive in the form of a new hire equity grant - Comprehensive health plans - 401K with company matching - Paid Parental Leave - Flexible time off **Salary Range:** The base salary range for this role is between $214,500 - $330,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. As a publicly traded company, Gemini is poised to accelerate this vision with greater scale, reach, and impact. ### The Department: Treasury ### The Role: Associate, Treasury Operations Gemini is looking for a Treasury Operations Associate to support daily reconciliation of bank accounts and reporting on customer liabilities versus cash holdings to ensure financial integrity and compliance. The ideal candidate is a builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is energized by open-ended problem solving. *This role is required to be in person twice a week at either our San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY office.* ### Responsibilities - **Daily Bank Account Reconciliation** – Perform daily reconciliations of firm and customer bank accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded, balances are verified, and discrepancies are promptly investigated and resolved. - **Customer Liability Reporting** – Prepare and analyze reports comparing customer liabilities to cash held in bank accounts, ensuring customer funds are fully backed and aligned with regulatory and internal control requirements. - **Safeguarding Reconciliation & Transfers** – Conduct safeguarding reconciliations to verify segregation of client funds, initiate or approve required transfers, and maintain compliance with safeguarding obligations. - Monitor and manage the firm’s asset and liability positions to ensure appropriate funding, liquidity, and risk balance. ### Minimum Qualifications - A-levels (or equivalent secondary school qualification) required and 3 years of experience in the financial services industry or related field. - Advanced proficiency in Excel. - Understanding of bank deposit processing. - Strong communication skills and ability to distill complex topics. ### Preferred Qualifications - An undergraduate or graduate degree in finance or related field. - 3+ years of experience in finance, ideally at a global bank, exchange, hedge fund, financial institution, or crypto trading platform. - Advanced proficiency in Excel. - Experience using SQL. - Understanding of cryptocurrency markets, DeFi protocols, blockchain technology, and consumer credit markets. ### It Pays to Work Here #### The Compensation & Benefits Package For This Role Includes - Competitive starting pay - A discretionary annual bonus - Long-term incentive in the form of a new hire equity grant - Comprehensive health plans - 401K with company matching - Paid Parental Leave - Flexible time off **Salary Range:** The base salary range for this role is between $82,500 - $110,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This individual will support business goals related to brand building, brand recognition, and marketing. They will contribute to the Gemini look and feel and have the ability to creatively express the brand across a variety of mediums. *This role is required to be in person twice a week at our New York City, NY office.* ### Responsibilities - Evolve and apply our visual identity; become fully immersed in the Gemini brand and mission - Support day-to-day creation of brand, marketing, comms, and sales assets working closely with project leads - Collaborate with other designers and project leads to develop visual approaches for product launches, features updates, and ad campaigns - Design assets for social channels and support the communications team with creative approaches to social media - Work with marketing to design emails, ads, and digital and print collateral - Develop new designs as well as iterate on existing designs for the web - Explore new directions and design patterns to meet the requirements while always pushing the quality of design forward ### Qualifications - 1+ years of experience in a similar role and or formal design training - Proficient in Figma or Sketch, Adobe CC, Google Suite - Experience designing for the web and mobile, and with using design systems - Can execute on a predefined design direction as well as take and implement feedback - Clear understanding of visual hierarchy, balance, rhythm, typography and color - Ability to problem solve and provide multiple simplistic solutions - Creative mindset and ability to adapt to change - Has a collaborative work ethic - Interest in motion/video design ### It Pays to Work Here #### The Compensation & Benefits Package For This Role Includes - Competitive starting salary - A discretionary annual bonus - Long-term incentive in the form of a new hire equity grant - Comprehensive health plans - 401K with company matching - Paid Parental Leave - Flexible time off **Salary Range:** The base salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $120,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington.
