## Payroll & Benefits Manager **Location:** Mumbai **Department:** People **Commitment:** Full-time **Workplace Type:** Hybrid ### About the Role We're looking for an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to own end-to-end payroll processing, benefits administration, and vendor management for our global organization. Based in Mumbai, you'll be the subject matter expert and escalation point for all payroll and benefits matters across India, the US, the UK, and the UAE. This role goes beyond coordination - you'll have full accountability for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery through our third-party providers, managing our benefits vendor relationships and renewal cycles, and driving operational excellence across people systems and processes. You'll also support audit activities, manage visa tracking for international relocations, US State filings and reporting, and act as the critical interface between People, Finance, Legal, and external partners. In an organization of less than 100 people operating across multiple countries, precision and expertise in payroll, benefits, and vendor management are essential. You'll be the trusted expert who ensures our people are paid accurately, our benefits programs deliver value, and our vendor relationships are optimized for cost and service quality. ### Key Responsibilities #### Global Payroll - Own end-to-end payroll delivery across India, US, UK, and UAE via third-party providers - Review payroll inputs, perform gross-to-net checks, and resolve discrepancies - Ensure compliance with local tax, statutory, and employment regulations - Manage payroll calendars, reconciliations, reporting, and year-end processes - Act as the primary escalation point for payroll queries #### Benefits & Reward - Manage relationships with global benefits brokers and providers - Lead annual renewals, cost reviews, and benefit design improvements - Oversee enrolment, changes, invoicing, and reconciliation with Finance - Ensure retirement and insurance programs are administered effectively #### Vendor & Compliance Management - Own relationships with payroll, benefits, HRIS, EOR, and other People vendors - Monitor SLAs, negotiate contracts, and identify cost optimisation opportunities - Support internal and external audits and maintain audit-ready documentation - Ensure full compliance with employment, payroll, and benefits regulations #### International Mobility & HR Operations - Track visas and work permits and coordinate with immigration partners - Support international relocations and cross-border payroll considerations - Maintain HRIS data integrity and provide payroll and headcount reporting - Partner with Finance on reconciliation, budgeting, and people cost forecasting - Support employment documentation and broader People team administration ### Key Requirements - Significant experience managing multi-country payroll and benefits - Strong knowledge of global payroll compliance, tax, and statutory requirements - Proven ability to manage third-party vendors and complex stakeholder groups - High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling, international environment --- *We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. We are launching institutional-grade RWA yield vaults, fully composable and integrated into Solana DeFi. We are seeking a Senior QA SDET to take a technical leadership role in shaping the quality of R3’s product suite. As part of an agile, cross-functional engineering team, you’ll design and implement robust automated testing solutions across APIs, UI, and backend components. You'll contribute to our automation frameworks, mentor junior team members, and advocate for testability and quality throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in test engineering, a deep understanding of automation best practices, and a proactive mindset when collaborating across teams. This person should be fluent in both the culture and mechanics of onchain finance. You’ll lead product design, delivery and positioning for the Corda protocol yield vaults. A good candidate will know the existing RWA protocols inside and out, but the successful candidate will understand what needs to come next and has the burning desire to build and ship it. ## Responsibilities - Define and lead the product roadmap for Corda yield vaults, through launch and iteration - Organize around the needs of your users and stakeholders, such as onchain allocators, curators, DeFi partners - Own product decisions and outcomes, balancing strategic vision with day-to-day delivery - Collaborate with R3 Product and Engineering to make your roadmap a reality. Ensure that the full R3 Labs organization understands and is bought in on your vision and execution plan. - Translate complex asset structures and compliance requirements into simple, composable onchain primitives - Represent R3 externally in the DeFi community, shaping narratives and collecting feedback - Monitor regulatory developments and their impact on product design and go-to-market ## Requirements - 3+ years of experience in DeFi, ideally with a track record of designing and launching or deeply integrating a DeFi product - Deep understanding of DeFi strategies, mechanics, and tokenomics - Strong working knowledge of Solana and familiarity with its DeFi ecosystem (or demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly) - Familiarity with financial products highly preferred: debt, equity, private credit, collateral management - Understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape for tokenized assets - Comfortable operating in ambiguity, making clear decisions, and owning outcomes - Active presence in the crypto community (preferably Crypto Twitter native, not a tourist) - Excellent communicator who can engage technical, business, and regulatory stakeholders alike - Honest, flexible, and collaborative mindset.
