Check out our website and docs for more details. ## Recruitment at Sei Labs We’re looking to hire our first **Sourcer / Talent Acquisition Specialist** to help us build the most talent dense Engineering team in web3. This role will report directly into our Head of Talent. It is the perfect learning ground for someone early in their recruiting career who is ambitious and hungry to grow, with a strong bias toward action and ownership. You’ll have an incredible opportunity to work directly with our founders and leadership team to shape hiring strategy for some of the most critical roles at Sei. You’ll spend the majority of your time sourcing and engaging the pinnacle of web3 engineering talent for highly technical roles, while also contributing to longer-term talent strategy, market mapping, recruiting operations, and wider HR work. This role sits at the intersection of brand, product, and marketing, with a focus on defining the first visual expression of new ideas—from landing pages and launch moments to early product visuals. You’ll work closely with a small, fast-moving team to shape how new projects look, feel, and communicate value from day one. This is a junior role designed for someone who lives and breathes crypto Twitter, moves quickly, thinks clearly, and wants deep exposure to how leading founders and teams build influence, distribution, and narrative in the space. You’ll be responsible for monitoring crypto Twitter seven days a week, identifying emerging narratives, technical discussions, and high-signal posts from prominent founders, researchers, and intellectuals. You’ll share concise, high-quality updates with the team and, over time, help draft original content that engages directly with what’s happening online. This role also supports broader marketing efforts, including event and conference submissions, and plays a key role in supporting the founder’s personal brand. ## Monaco - Founding Engineer Monaco is a crypto-native research and development group building high-performance infrastructure for open financial systems on the Sei Network. We’re a small, senior team operating at the intersection of TradFi speed and DeFi composability. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, write production-grade code, and have opinions about blockspace and market structure, we’d love to meet you. ### What You'll Do * Contribute to the core engineering efforts behind Monaco’s CLOB (Central Limit Order Book), supporting both spot trading and perpetual futures trading instruments. * Build and optimize low-latency trading infrastructure, with both on and offchain nuances. * Lead the smart contract development for Monaco’s EVM-based perpetuals product (Solidity). * Improve performance of order matching systems with a strong focus on latency and reliability. * Ship production code for Monaco v1 and lead explorations into v2 architecture with the Sei Labs. ### Who You Are * 3+ years of engineering experience, building low latency trading systems, ideally across both TradFi and DeFi stacks. * Have worked at or adjacent to HFT firms (e.g., Citadel, Cubist, AQR, Jump, HRT) or were part of early engineering teams at CLOB protocols/perp DEXs (like dYdX, Hyperliquid, Vertex). * Bring experience in Rust and Solidity, with the ability to navigate low-level systems and smart contracts. * Have built or traded DeFi strategies and understand the nuances of institutional users, market structure, performance optimization, and gas fees. * Must be based in NYC or willing to relocate.
