## Cryptocurrency Investigator We're supporting a high-impact national security program at the forefront of cryptocurrency tracing and financial intelligence. This is a rare opportunity to work on real-world investigations, applying blockchain analytics to uncover illicit financial networks, rather than purely building dashboards or tooling. ### The Role 🔒 **Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required** You’ll work within a specialist team focused on: - Tracing cryptocurrency transactions and asset flows - Investigating illicit finance, darknet activity, and laundering methods - Analysing complex datasets to identify non-obvious patterns and targets - Supporting intelligence and operational outcomes tied to national security This role sits at the intersection of crypto, cyber, and financial investigations, with a strong emphasis on hands-on analysis. ### Why This Role? - Work on mission-critical investigations with real-world impact - Move beyond tools into true intelligence-led analysis - Join a highly specialised team tackling evolving crypto threats - Strong compensation and long-term program stability ### What They’re Looking For - Experience in cryptocurrency investigations, financial intelligence, or banking/fintech - Strong understanding of: - Blockchain fundamentals (wallets, transactions, nodes) - Crypto ecosystems (exchanges, OTC, payment providers) - Familiarity with tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, CipherTrace (or similar) - Ability to work with data and conduct deep-dive analytical research ### Highly Desirable - Experience tracing wallets, IPs, and transaction flows - Knowledge of crypto laundering techniques (mixers, bridges, peel chains, etc.) - Understanding of DeFi, mining, and blockchain protocols - Exposure to darknet markets or high-risk financial ecosystems ### Location & Compensation - **Location:** 5-days on site in DC area - **Compensation:** $200k-$220k DOE with quarterly bonuses and great benefits If this looks like a job you are interested in please reach out - we are actively reviewing candidates! *When applying, mention the word CANDYSHOP to show you read the job post completely.*
