Lead Technical Advisor

Overview

We are an early-stage team building a verifiable execution layer for next-generation markets, with a high-performance perpetual DEX as its first native application. Unlike existing exchanges that can only prove settlement, our execution layer provides cryptographic proof of how every trade is executed—covering the matching engine, price formation, transaction sequencing, and all critical on- and off-chain logic.

The goal is to compete with the most advanced DEXs by combining high performance with cryptographic and system-level verifiability, rather than relying on opaque or trust-heavy designs.

We are looking for a Lead Technical Advisor with prior CTO/VP-level experience who has personally built large-scale systems, exchanges, or high-frequency / low-latency infrastructure and has meaningful exposure to blockchain or Web3 protocols. This role is structured as a fractional advisory engagement initially, with a clear path to a full-time C-level role as the company evolves.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a senior technical thought partner to the founding team
• Shape core protocol, execution, and infrastructure architecture with an explicit focus on end-to-end verifiability
• Pressure-test assumptions around:
  • Execution engines, state management, and data availability
  • Latency, throughput, and fault tolerance
  • Security and cryptographic guarantees
• Provide high-level security and design reviews of protocol components
• Help define long-term technical roadmap, engineering standards, and senior hiring direction
• Participate in investor calls, supporting technical diligence, architecture discussions, and long-term vision when helpful
• Engage selectively with auditors, infrastructure partners, or aligned investors when useful

Background We’re Looking For

• Former CTO or VP of Engineering, with background in one or more of the following:
  • Blockchain-native companies, or
  • Fintech or high-performance systems companies with meaningful Web3 exposure, or
  • Trading infrastructure, exchange platforms, or HFT environments, such as matching engines, order books, or market data systems, or low-latency execution, or pricing infrastructure
• Hands-on experience building large-scale, low-latency, or high-reliability systems
• Demonstrated involvement in blockchain or Web3 protocol development, research, or production integration
• Working familiarity with Confidential Computing tech such as Zero-Knowledge systems
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, security, and system design tradeoffs
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, early-stage environments

Compensation & Structure

• Fractional advisory role with flexible commitment
• Compensation structured as a combination of:
  1. Equity
  2. Token allocation
  3. Optional cash component depending on availability and structure
• Token participation designed to align incentives with long-term protocol success
• Explicit option to transition into a full-time C-level role, with expanded equity and token ownership
