Expectations are high because the work demands it, and this is a team that thrives in challenging environments.</p><p>This summer associate program recognizes that talent and potential are not defined solely by traditional credentials. Many high-performing law students bring meaningful professional experience, technical skills, complex decision-making skills, experience managing competing priorities under pressure, and/or nontraditional career paths that strengthen their analytical judgment and resilience.</p><p></p><p><strong>Program Overview</strong></p><p>The Polymarket Legal Summer Associate Program provides paid, hands-on experience across a broad in-house legal platform, including:</p><ul>
<li><p>Emerging technologies (prediction markets, blockchain, digital assets, and AI)</p></li>
<li><p>Data privacy and cybersecurity</p></li>
<li><p>Commercial contracts and negotiations (including marketing and partnership agreements)</p></li>
<li><p>Cleared derivatives and commodities regulation</p></li>
<li><p>Federal, state, and international litigation</p></li>
<li><p>Corporate governance and compliance</p></li>
</ul><p></p><p><strong>About Polymarket</strong></p><p>Polymarket operates both an international blockchain-based prediction market platform and a federally regulated CFTC-registered derivatives exchange in the United States. Through these platforms, users trade event-based contracts tied to real-world outcomes.</p><p>Operating at the intersection of decentralized infrastructure and regulated financial markets, Polymarket engages complex legal issues involving digital assets, litigation, cross-border compliance, partnership negotiation, commodities regulation, market structure, and consumer protection. This structure provides Summer Associates exposure to both emerging market models and traditional regulatory frameworks.</p><p></p><p><strong>Summer Associate Qualifications</strong></p><p><em>(Eligible After Completion of 1L Year)</em></p><p>Applicants must:</p><ul>
<li><p>Have successfully completed their first year (1L) at an ABA-accredited law school</p></li>
<li><p>Be in good academic standing</p></li>
<li><p>Demonstrate strong research, writing, and analytical skills</p></li>
<li><p>Submit a (1) resume, (2) cover letter, and (3) transcript</p></li>
</ul><p>Candidates are encouraged to demonstrate value through academic work, professional experience, leadership, technical fluency, entrepreneurial initiatives, or other experiences reflecting intellectual rigor, resilience, and initiative. An optional 250-word statement may describe relevant interests, challenges navigated, or the perspective the applicant would bring to an in-house legal team.</p><p>Interest or exposure in one or more of the following areas is encouraged:</p><ul>
