This white-label solution saves significant development costs and time, enabling fast market access and straightforward usability for end-users. Regulatory requirements can, if needed, be covered for the respective assets through Tangany's crypto custody license.

To support our ongoing growth, we are seeking a Team Lead Product Management to join our team.

Your Tasks

• Lead the Product Team: Manage and coach a small team of Product Owners, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high performance. Set clear goals for the team and conduct regular feedback to develop "best-in-class" product management skills across the group.
• Product Process Governance: Establish and enforce standard product management processes across all teams. Ensure consistent practices in backlog management, roadmap planning, agile ceremonies, and product discovery. Champion process improvements that enhance efficiency and quality of product delivery.
• Cross-Team Initiative Ownership: Drive and coordinate strategic projects that span multiple product areas (e.g., major feature rollouts or platform upgrades). Break down silos by facilitating collaboration between product and platform engineering teams, and ensure that cross-cutting initiatives stay aligned with overall product strategy and timelines.
• Regulatory Compliance & Release Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance requirements within the product organization. Work closely with Compliance and Legal teams to integrate BaFin regulations and DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) standards into product development processes. Oversee the end-to-end release process for product updates – including release planning, approvals, documentation, and post-release monitoring – to guarantee that all releases are secure, compliant, and smoothly executed.
• Bridge Strategy and Execution: Translate the Chief Product Officer’s strategic vision into actionable plans for the product teams. Act as a liaison between high-level strategy and day-to-day development execution – ensuring that each product squad understands company objectives and delivers features that contribute to those goals. Provide regular updates on product line progress, risks, and learnings to the CPO and other executives.
• Stakeholder Coordination and Communication: Facilitate strong communication channels between Product and other departments (Engineering, Operations, Sales, etc.). Proactively identify and resolve dependencies or misalignments to ensure optimal performance. Represent the product team in stakeholder meetings, conveying needs and advocating for resources, and conversely communicate decisions and priorities back to the teams. Internally, promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and customer-centricity.

Your Profile

• Experience: Several years of experience in Product Management or a similar role (ideally 5+ years), ideally including 2+ years in a product leadership role (e.g., leading product owners or product managers). You have a track record of guiding product initiatives from concept to launch and managing or mentoring other product professionals.
• Domain Knowledge: A background in finance, fintech, or other regulated digital industries is highly preferred. You understand the constraints and opportunities of building products in a regulated environment – familiarity with BaFin regulations or EU financial compliance (e.g., DORA, MiCAR) is a strong advantage. Any experience with blockchain, digital assets, or crypto custody is a plus (interest in these areas is expected even if past experience is limited).
• Methodological Skills: Deep knowledge of agile product development and product management frameworks. Ability to implement best practices in product discovery, requirements prioritization, and iterative development. You bring a toolbox of techniques (e.g., OKRs, user story mapping, design thinking for discovery) to elevate how product teams operate.
• Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated leadership skills in coaching teams and driving change. Able to inspire and motivate product owners, provide constructive feedback, and build a cohesive team culture. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, enabling you to effectively interface with engineers, designers, executives, and clients. You’re adept at translating between technical and non-technical audiences and aligning everyone around common goals.
• Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Capable of zooming out to strategic big-picture planning and zooming in to coach on day-to-day details. Strong analytical mindset; you use data and evidence to drive decisions and can monitor KPIs to gauge product success. Experience defining product metrics and using analytics or feedback to inform the roadmap is desirable.
• Technical Aptitude: Comfortable discussing technical concepts with engineering teams. While you don’t need to be an engineer, you should understand software architecture at a high level (APIs, cloud services, etc.) and the software delivery lifecycle. This helps in assessing feasibility, managing scope, and ensuring smooth release processes.
• Language & Work Setup: Fluency in both German and English is required (written and spoken) for this role, as you’ll navigate the German regulatory context and international stakeholders. A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering) is preferred. This position is based in Germany with a hybrid work model – you should be willing to travel to Munich on a bi-weekly basis for in-person team sessions and key meetings. (Remote work from within Germany is possible between these office visits.)
