## Mantle Japan Internship **Mantle Japan Internship** is a 12-week immersive experience running from January to March 2026. As one of Mantle’s first regional interns, you’ll play a foundational role in shaping Mantle’s presence in the Japanese community while gaining hands-on exposure to real ecosystem, content, community, and campaign work across the Mantle ecosystem. This is a remote-first internship, with selective in-person team event experience in 2026. You’ll collaborate closely with the Mantle Core Team, work with mentors, and contribute to initiatives that grow the Mantle ecosystem in Japan. Mantle is looking for three interns, one for each role: ### **1. Social & Community Intern** **Focus areas:** - Translation (JP ⇄ EN) - Long-form content dedicated to the Japan market - Editorial support for ecosystem updates, product explainers, and community education - Community management and support ### **2. There are opportunities for application security, infrastructure security, client security, blockchain security, threat detection and response as well as GRC work depending on your interests and strengths. *This will be a 12-week summer internship program with 3 days a week in person at our New York City, NY office.* ### Responsibilities: - Triage vulnerability reports and alerts to ensure that threat is real. - Develop automation and scripts to reduce the workload for security work that may currently be manual. - Improve our ability to identify vulnerabilities in code and infrastructure. - Review other software engineers’ code for correctness. - Be on-call to receive security alerts which require immediate response, triage and containment working with best in class security engineers. ### Qualifications: - Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Master’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering or comparable. - A customer and product-focused mindset, with the ability to make well-reasoned tradeoffs between security, speed and quality. - Interest and basic understanding of core Systems Administration and Software Engineering concepts. - Learning to work collaboratively on a team and communicate in meetings. - Effectively communicates work status to teammates and manager. - Proactively asks questions and reaches out for help when stuck. - Voices concerns or need for clarification to their manager. - Accepts feedback graciously and learns from experience. **Pay Rate:** The hourly pay rate for this role is $50/hour in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington.
