Software Engineer

<p></p><p>Top global trading firm looking for a DeFi developer to join a small, highly technical trading team building high-performance systems that operate directly on decentralized markets.</p><br><p>The role is hands-on and focused on building production systems in Rust and Python, covering execution, on-chain integrations, and performance-critical components where latency and reliability are key. There is strong end-to-end ownership and clear visibility across the full trading stack.</p><br><p>They are looking for someone with a solid software engineering background and several years of experience (typically around 3–7). Experience with trading systems or DeFi is beneficial but not required.</p><br><p>What they’re looking for:</p><br><ul> <li>Strong production experience with Rust and Python</li> <li>Hands-on experience with smart contracts and Solidity at an application level</li> <li>3–4+ years in crypto or DeFi-native roles</li> <li>Deep understanding of decentralized exchanges and the current DeFi landscape</li> <li>Experience building and maintaining public APIs</li> <li>Understanding of trading concepts, either practical or theoretical</li> <li>Ability to run and maintain systems on cloud infrastructure</li> <li>Based in London or working remotely from anywhere in Europe</li> </ul><br><p>Nice to have:</p><br><ul> <li>Experience designing, writing, and deploying smart contracts</li> <li>On-chain trading or strategy development experience</li> <li>Familiarity with ecosystems such as Solana, Sui, or Cosmos</li> <li>Experience diagnosing performance, latency, or throughput issues</li> <li>Interest in product design and user experience alongside engineering</li> </ul> When applying, mention the word CANDYSHOP to show you read the job post completely.
