We help companies and institutions automate financial reporting and compliance for digital assets at scale. We are looking for an **Engineering Manager** to lead our **Data Ingestion and Reconciliation squads**, working with around 12 engineers. This is a leadership role focused on building strong teams, creating clarity, and enabling consistent delivery in a fast moving environment. You will work closely with Product, Staff Engineers, and the wider engineering leadership team to ensure we are building reliable, scalable systems while continuously improving how we work together. *This role is about people, alignment, and execution rather than hands on technical leadership.* ## What you will be doing - Lead and support two engineering teams through coaching, regular feedback, and clear growth paths - Create the conditions for teams to deliver consistently and with confidence - Partner closely with Product to shape priorities and execution - Remove friction in processes, communication, and ways of working - Hire and grow strong engineering teams across France and the UK - Act as a thoughtful technical counterpart, able to challenge decisions and protect long term quality without being hands on ## What we are looking for - Several years of experience as an Engineering Manager in a SaaS or scale up environment - A strong engineering background and comfort engaging deeply with technical topics - A proven track record of leading high performing teams through growth and change - Experience working with distributed teams across multiple countries - Experience with modern backend systems such as Rust or Node.js and data heavy platforms is a plus - Experience in fintech, crypto, or financial systems is a bonus; curiosity and learning mindset are essential ## Why Cryptio - Work on complex, real world problems at the intersection of crypto, finance, and data - Join a thoughtful and experienced engineering leadership team - Have real ownership and influence on how teams operate and scale - Remote first with regular team gatherings ## Interview process 1. We are looking for a **Payroll & Accounts Receivable Accountant** to join our Finance team and take ownership of payroll operations across France, the UK and the US, while also managing accounts receivable processes. This role is hands-on and operational, with a strong focus on accuracy, ownership, and proactive issue resolution. You will work closely with Finance, Sales and Account Management teams to ensure smooth payroll execution and timely revenue collection. Experience with Deel and Stripe is a strong plus. ## Responsibilities ### Payroll Management (Multi-Country) - Own and review UK payroll end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing. - Support and coordinate France payroll, working closely with external providers and internal stakeholders. - Oversee payroll processes for US employees, in collaboration with external partners. - Act as the main point of contact for payroll providers across all entities. - Proactively identify discrepancies, anomalies or risks rather than reacting after issues arise. - Ensure payroll data consistency with accounting records and internal reporting. - Maintain up-to-date documentation of payroll processes and controls. - Knowledge of Deel (setup, operations, employee lifecycle management) is a strong plus. ### Accounts Receivable (AR) - Own accounts receivable operations, from invoice creation to cash collection. - Manage Stripe: - Create and maintain customer subscriptions - Ensure correct billing configuration and pricing logic - Liaise closely with Sales and Account Managers to understand contract terms, customer context and billing specifics. - Monitor outstanding receivables and proactively follow up on overdue payments. - Investigate and resolve billing issues or customer disputes in a timely and structured manner. - Ensure AR data is accurate, up-to-date and properly reflected in financial records. - Contribute to improving AR processes, controls and reporting as the company scales. ## What we're looking for - You have 2 to 4 years of experience as an accountant. - Proven experience in payroll operations, ideally across multiple countries (France / UK / US). - Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes and revenue collection workflows. - Comfortable working with Stripe; experience with Deel is a strong advantage. - Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset. - Able to work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales and Operations teams. - Organised, autonomous and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership. - Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken). - Based in France and comfortable working in an international environment. ## Process 1. 45-minute interview call with our Head of Finance 2. 45-minute interview with our Finance & Administration Manager 3. The focus of this role is on building strong pipelines and delivering hires, with a particular emphasis on finding top-tier Rust and TypeScript engineers. This role is delivery-focused, supporting engineering hiring within a well-defined recruitment process led by the Senior Talent Partner. ## What you’ll do - Support engineering hiring by building and maintaining high-quality pipelines - Source and engage Rust and TypeScript engineers using LinkedIn Recruiter and targeted outbound strategies - Run structured technical screening interviews and manage candidate progression - Work closely with the Senior Talent Partner and engineering leaders on hiring priorities - Keep hiring teams and candidates updated via Slack and email, with high responsiveness - Maintain accurate, up-to-date data in the ATS - Use AI note-taking tools to support structured interviews and consistent feedback ## What we’re looking for - Proven experience hiring engineering roles in a startup or scale-up environment - Strong track record in pipeline building and delivery - Experience hiring engineers working with Rust or Go and TypeScript - Experience recruiting for UK-based startups - Comfortable working self-sufficiently within a defined scope - Strong experience using ATS platforms - Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter and AI note-taking tools - Clear written communication, strong Slack presence, and high responsiveness ## Our tech stack Rust, Typescript, AWS, Kubernetes, Pulumi, Postgres, Clikchouse, Cassandra, RocksDB, Grafana, Prometheus, Redis, Gitlab CI. ## Contract details - 3–6 month freelance contract - Fully remote (UK only) ## Interview process 1.
