## Senior Data Scientist - DeFi & Stablecoins Mysten Labs believes that decentralized and open protocols are the bedrock of the internet of value. This is why at Mysten Labs, we are creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies. The data science team at Mysten Labs is looking to hire a **Senior Data Scientist** focused on **DeFi and stablecoins**, two of the fastest-growing and most consequential areas of the Sui ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of product analytics, on-chain measurement, and market structure research, with a mandate to deepen our understanding of how liquidity, lending, DEX activity, and stablecoin flows behave on a high-performance, object-centric blockchain. This role requires existing web3 experience — you should already be comfortable navigating on-chain data, DeFi protocols, and the broader crypto ecosystem. On top of that, backgrounds in quantitative finance, trading, market making, exchanges, or fintech analytics are highly valued and will help you hit the ground running. You'll partner closely with product, engineering, and partnerships to conceptualize, measure, and report on DeFi protocol launches, stablecoin adoption, market maker performance, and broader ecosystem behaviors. The work spans descriptive dashboards, deep-dive research, and entirely new measurement frameworks for a rapidly evolving asset class. The ideal applicant has very strong SQL and visualization skills, a working knowledge of DeFi primitives (AMMs, lending markets, perps, stablecoin mechanisms), and the ability to merge quick iteration with creative ideation. Familiarity with concepts like TVL, volume quality, LP returns, peg stability, mint/redeem flows, and cross-chain bridging is a strong plus.
